Questions about the MK2 Focus RS ( not 4wd related )

The last one was a limited number of builds, something like 5000/6000?

Is the recent mk2 built in limited numbers? (tbh when you look on the classifieds, there are alot for sale, and im starting to see them alot more on the roads) I only ask this as there are cars in the classifieds creeping below the £20k mark, beginning to drop into the price range of a concourse mk1 focus RS.
If the car is dropping around 9k in one year, will these be un-mk1-like and not hold their prices well?

Thought they stopped making them in May, apart from the limited run of the RS500?

The MK2 RS was the right car at the wrong time IMO. Too thirsty and expensive and not significantly different to the competition to hold its value like the MK1 RS did early in its life.

If you look at a ford options finance quote for a brand new one you will see they are only pitching the 3 year future value as being guaranteed at 9 to 10k.

So none of those nice limited build numebr plates that help used values stay strong in cars then.

Thats what I can't figure. The engine is essentially the same so an ST will be less money at the start and can be taken to 300bhp without much major work. Weren't some of the early RS road tests mentioning the power figure was over quoted too?

That's a good point about the ST. That doesn't have the moose-knuckle diff though, does it? So will it not cope as well with it's 300bhp as the RS?

Correct, but tbh my RS tugged at the steering wheel more than enough in it's standard 300 form (now Mountune spec)

And the fact its not the same engine/turbo as the st at all.
