Has anyone driven a 530xd or similar? Having returned the other day (yet again) from the continent, I couldn't help but look at them and think that I would like a turn. The new E is coming next month but I am worrying that what I really should have bought is a left hand drive, four wheel drive beemer. Tell me I'm wrong someone, please?

I thought that they were to start making RHD x's for the uk soon, which would be nice.

That would be lovely, shame I shan't be buying anything new for many moons now though!

take a look at the reviews in the US, not exactly glowing, its a traction based system, not for dynamics, apparently understeers badly when driven hard.

Fairly sure there not doing a RHD, not nearly enough market for one.

Unquestionably the ultimate vehicle - with go anywhere off road capability too, no doubt. Just imagine.

They did sell some 320xis and 525xi's in the late 80s and early 90s in RHD I think.

Nobody bought them so werent continued and it was decided it wasnt worth making the X's for the RHD markets.
