I recently posted a thread about going to France with the kids etc and, after reading the replies, forgot all about it.

Yesterday, my wife and 14 year old daughter, did a Google search on a similar topic - and my Pistonheads thread appeared on it, which they took delight in reading.

Then they suddenly found out that they could read other posts started or commented on by me - OOPs!

Now I don't mind, my wife reading them, who I love very much of course dear, but I don't want my kids to.

• Precisely* why a couple of months ago I went on every forum on which I take part (some of them have been on for years) and got myself a new ID - including PH. None of my details (name (I'm not called James), location) on here are true, no car details (my car is rare enough for me to be identified from it) etc etc.

PH (and quite a few others) are far too searcheable these days. I've nothing to hide but it was getting a bit much.
