Two cars parked in our car park, neither mine fortunately, both being driven by blokes, and being ripped to shreds by the banter.

The Beetle is the new one in pale lemon yellow, with flowers stuck on one panel and a humongous artificial daisy in the dashboard vase.

The Beemer is a minter E39 535i with the parcel shelf packed and rear window half obliterated with cushions and stuffed bears, dogs and other furry objects.

Personally reckon I'd prefer the bus.

I went for the 535i on the basis that anything with fluffy toys in the rear window normally indicates a cretin of some discription behind the wheel!

the cusions are easy to remove though. how can you make the beetle less gay? just removing the flower will not help , much

Id rather either of them to an MX-5.

You can get rid of the cushions etc in the V8 BMW or the daisy in the beetle. Even if not that is inside and not everyone will see or the BMW with all the things make it even more of a sleeper.

You cannot hide the gay in an MX-5, the gayness is part of its whole cute camp appeal. It was engineered in.

So to sum it up Audi A3s, Golf GTDs, BMWs with all the bling bits and a 1.8, MX-5s, Corsas, Clios, most Fiats and Merc C class compacts are all a bit gayer than those. And all TVRs actually.

Hmmmm. Clearly the VW driver has chosen an uber-bent car whereas the Bimmer owner may have simply had all the furry toys and stuff added by his wife, so on balance the Beetle ferret wins.

Excellent! Just reported interim results and the Beetle bloke is now out in the car park on the phone shouting at his Mrs for nicking his car this morning.
