Registration advice please

Chaps,
The Mrs has a private registration on her car. I was bored this evening and typed the registration into google and got one result - an internet firm based in Aberdeen who appear to have the same registration for sale for £650.
Is this just a ploy to get you interested then they come back & tell you "oh, we have just sold that one but how about this one which is similar"?
Or should I be dropping the company a short email asking them to remove it from their site?
Cheers.
