More than just a little fake. You didn't ge to see the police car. That could have been any old actor in a cop uniform. I liked the way the "cop" used the exact same terminology as the driver, when he "burned" the stop sign at "twice the speed limit" (must have a good eye for judging speed!), almost like he had been briefed on what the guy in the car was going to do.

It happened to me heading out of San Francisco and trying to find my way to Highway 1 to Monterey guided by 3 female work colleagues. I ran a stop sign whilst doubling back on myself. Cop stopped me and as he approached the window and said what I had done, I passed him the map and asked if he could help with directions.

He gave directions and waved me on my way without further mention of my offence.
