As per thread title, does anyone run a proper performance car daily and rack up big miles?

No other reason for this than curiosity and wondering how financially ruinous some cars are to keep on the road.

It won't be the biggest but the Caterham has done over 110,000 miles, over 80,000 of those with me. Not too expensive to run but a complete rebuild after falling prey to salt corrosion wasn't cheap.

Has it had its rebuild yet?

Simonspider's Murci had done 100k+ plus now hasn't it?

Nope, no rebuild.

I saw Simon's Murci at Longcross on Sunday and it looked great. 3 day event, 300 - 500 punters a day.

The 6th Gear experience really looks like it has taken off. smile

Hardly a supercar, but my Vette has done over 140k now. Those pesky LS1s, it must be due a service sometime soon wink

actually it has a FSH which basically comprises of a number of cheap oil and filter changes when the nanny says so, and a more extensive lube at 100k miles

I believe this chap has a 160 mile round commute. Top effort doing all that mileage in an S1 Elise!
