Hi all. I'm just in the process of selling my car for the third time after the first sale fell through (wker of a buyer) and the second was abruptly halted after the wife used a 5 series as a parking space.

If someone decided to come and view it and did the normal HPI check, would an insurance repair show up on the check?

When she pranged it a month or so ago, we decided to do it through insurance as the car has a manufacturer body kit/extras etc so would have been expensive to get a new bumper. But there was very little damage, so I'm just a bit concerned that this could put someone off buying it when in reality, all it has had was a new front bumper!

I'm pretty sure minor stuff like that doesn't get recorded. Its done to stop people putting wrecks back on the road and to record major losses, not minor stuff as far as i know.

Only write-offs get recorded.
