Not a fan of BMW drivers, had to laugh when saw this pair who took their car for a wash and valet on the local slipway smile

I'm not a big fan of jealous Ford Mondeo Edge 1.8 Turbo Diesel drivers either... I always look down on them from my BMW loser

I don't think it is healthy to generalise....in fact it's probably quite ignorant.

All Mondeo drivers are gay anyway (just kidding, (honest)).

It's not that small a car!

Anyway, these things happen, and it's quite funny when it does, especially if it's not my car.

Why the hell would he be jealous of an ancient 7 series?

Rear wheel drive on a steep wet slope pulling a boat is a bit risky. I'd not try it in my E38.

Thats just down the road from me , why didnt they ask the habourmaster to pull it out? its about £8 IIRC.

Notice he drove it down nose 1st , obviously trying for a FWD mode, or FWDtronic* as BMW would call it. So trying to reverse up a slippery slope pulling a speedboat with no weight over the back wheels . cracking idea! and yep the car will be brown bread . saltwater = dead bmw.

  • this will of course be a £1500 option like just about everything else.

Did you witness it by any chance?

Would certainly have been slightly amusing/worrying!

The article says the car spun 180 degrees so I guess they were trying to pull it out normally. Once those RWD went under the water I guess they were doomed.

As a keen follower of PH tips I can assure all readers this needn't have happened - if only they'd done the sensible thing and fitted winter tyres for extra grip in cold wet conditions.
