Trailer Ramps?
Discussion
My GT3 is currently stored in a garage with a small lip at the entrance and a not-too-steep ramp in front. However, the combination of those two elements with the low ground clearance of the car means that it won't drive straight in. I've constructed a ramp of sorts using some bricks and planks of wood etc but that's not ideal.
I'm thinking that a better solution might be to get hold of some old trailer ramps and use them to get it in. Has anyone any ideas on where I might obtain ramps without a trailer!? Or any alternatives?

Waffle boards a possibility? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/OFF-ROAD-4X4-BRIDGING-SAND-L...
If I understand correctly Dave, you ground the sills on the lip when the front wheels go down the slope in front of the garage.
If that's the case, it's the same as I used to have with a lowered Elise I used to own.
I found the best way to remedy it was to fix 2 lengths of wood, as wide as the wheels along the length of the garage floor for the car to sit on. That way the trailing wheels are higher up as the car rolls out so the sills shouldn't touch the lip.
Not only did it stop the car grounding on the lip, but it made it slightly easier to get a trolley jack under the front end to jack the car up while it was inside the garage.

Hi Mark. Yep, I've done that as part of the solution, but the ramp at the entrance really needs bridging so that the back wheels are raised by about 4 inches+ all the way in. They currently drop into the gulley at the front of the ramp.
get a builder in to shallow the drive out for you? otherwise see if you can get hold of one of those road plates?

The extension ramps @ £65 look like they will do the trick. I'll drop them a line.
