autosolo insurance

Can anyone help with this one?

I am booked into an autosolo this weekend, and phoned insurance broker earlier to make sure i was covered. they tell me no as there is timing involved - would be ok for a regular track day

Can i get a short term policy specifically for one event this weekend?

any recommendations??

If it's an event run under MSA rules then you will have their insurance for any third party claims.
Autosolos are not that quick and you are are very unlikely to have an accident that results in major damage. Minor stuff to your own car you'll just have to take on the chin.

My local club has run eight of these things now, and the only 'accident' we've had was an Evo kerbing a alloy wheel very heavily through sheer stupidity

it is an MSA based event, i was reading the race instructions earlier and it mentions something about proof of insurance, which i intially assumed must be cover during the event, but on reflection this must be to do with the road legality of the car - i spoke to a different insurance office who provided the same info as you
