Ground clearance - is it an issue on these cars?

I'm looking at cars to buy and wondered if anyone had any words of wisdom regarding the ground clearance on these cars, i.e. whether I will have any problems going over speed humps etc as some of them seem quite low:

BMW Z4 Coupe
Audi TT Coupe (2007)
Mercedes SLK (2006)
Volkswagen Golf GTI (2006)
BMW 1 Series (3 door)

Any advice would be much appreciated - I'm paranoid about grounding out on a speed bump on my way into Asda!!

Over normal speed humps/bumps at normal speeds I would have thought you'd be fine in all the above if they're factory standard (i.e. not lowered or with extra kits).

I only had probs once in my 997 TT (which is prob lower) and that was in a local village but even then, was fine at very low speeds and now avoid the place like the plague.....

seriously, i cant imagine any probs with ground clearance with your list, i am very aware of speed bumps with the morgan, the most severe ones are those black rubber things that go most of the way across the road, partially because they are quite high, but they are also very steep, i occasionally ground the brackets that carry the rear bumper on these if i go too quickly. Also i cant straddle those ones that sit in the middle of the lane as my car is too narrow so i have to run a wheel over them, a technique which minimises the chance of grounding

Z4 Coupe and 1 series have both been fine for ground clearance for me.
