'That' advert with the Merc skidding towards the sliproad

I think it's a Ch4 advert which is used in between programmes?

Do you know which one I mean ? - The footage is from inside a vehicle on a motorway. At the last second, a Merc goes past on the right and then brakes/skids off left towards the slip road.

Is this a fluke piece of filming or did they film this on the road just to make the clip ?

A Merc of that vintage would have ABS, so it must have been chopped/ edited/ created to suit C4 needs.

yes, the "skid" happens at the same time, all the random floaty things come together to make a 4. trying to draw your attention in 2 directions at once

it's totally made up, the cars may well be real, but the skids will have been added later

Eh? It's computer generated, surely?

They also show an ad made in Felixstowe container port. IIRC to conjure up an image of '4' they show containers floating in the sky or something similar.

But they're not really floating you know...

Yeah, I gathered the floaters weren't real, oddly enough.

Thinking about it, it would be near impossible to make a very quick lane change with all of your wheels locked up. A newer C-class Merc like that would definitely have also had ABS. Must have been a bit of CGI involved.

I never noticed the floaty things in the background with the Merc one at all. True about trying to draw your attention to two things at once.

That's the thing that bugs me about that "ad" the ABS doesn't cut in.

I would have thought Mercedes would hate an advert such as this, surely it is not good publicity, depspite badges being blurred, it's obviously a merc.

I have to admit i never noticed the roadsighns were in the shape of a 4 !! I was always too busy watching a near miss lol
