im looking at the 172cup and the 182, what are the main differences between both any one better than the other?

Does the 182 have any cup packs? If yes then one of the cup packs gives it the same chassis/suspension as the 172 Cup and the other adds the spoiler and front splitter.

The main things to be aware of with the 172 Cup is it that most have no air con (some were produced with AC) , traction control, ABS or spare wheel so you may want to think about those. That saves 89kg over the standard 172. Also the 172 cup seats are not the nice leather/alcantara ones from the 182 or standard 172.

they are virtually identical in terms of speed handling etc but 172 is a bit more 'hardocre' 182 has more toys for evceryday driving.

a lot of 172 cups will of been modified 182's less so but make sure the 182 has the cup pack option (antracite wheels) different dampers
