Peugeot dealers to offer 'complete' motoring package

How good an offer would they have to make for you to switch to a Peugeot?

Heard on the radio today they are offering three years comprehensive cover paying everything from three years insurance, three years road tax, three years servicing, warranty and road side assistance. All in one monthly PCP deal over three years to swap it for a new one, tag line of "Just add fuel" (trade marked lol).

And they havn't released any prices, so it will likely be younger drivers paying more for the insurance anyway?

A wee 107 run like this would be great as a daily, I like driving them ( well the c1 is the one I've driven) and having no hassle would be nice for three years.

I guess a big, possibly huge, thing for younger drivers is the insurance, epecially for lads and especially if they live in an expensive insurance area. The car could end up being not far off free.

I wonder how much the insurance excess and excess mileage charges are - the deal is based on 6667 miles per year, which isn't a lot?

Seems a good idea to me.
Let's face it, most of the (un-washed! ) masses don't care about driving, so being able to fix all of your costs bar fuel for 3years probably sounds very appealing.
If I needed a run around then I would definitely be interested.

Take it back to the years when you knew to avoid Citroen saxos on the road as they were all people who couldn't get insured on normal cars, shame they don't to a 106 gti equivalent any more though.

£207 for a brand new 207 fully maintained and insured is good IMO.

It'd be interesting to see what that cost went up to if you specified a more average 12k, or in my case 20k+ miles per year

If the mileage charge is reasonable, say 6p, then it would cost less than £200 a year to take it to 10K.

Even for someone paying £500/yr for insurance, I reckon it's a reasonable deal, especially for the peace of mind.

One snag might be extra charges if you choose to hand back the car at 3yrs - some finance companies really whack on those charges for the most trivial things, VW are terrible for it.

I've heard tails from people on lease schemes that they can be really stupid with "wear and tear" charges - "they" being a general term, and not aimed at a particular manufacturer.
