27 litre Merlin Engined Rover SD1
Discussion
Went Ashby Folville tonight in Leicestershire, a mad car show with everything and anything.
Amougst the vintage British and American classics, the modern Aston Martin's and Ferrari's to the heavily modified hatches stood one car that stood way above the rest.
A 1981 SD1 with a 27 litre V12 Merlin engine, LPG converted. It was surprisingly quiet upon start up but I'm sure I felt the ground shake. 1550lb/ft at 1600rpm anyone?!

The build of this car has been well documented in Practical Performance Car. I love it, would love to have the skills and room to do something similar. The chap that built it (Charlie Broomfield) hopes to see 200 mph eventually.
ETA: Damn my slow typing, beaten to it.
