Spraying Alloys?

My alloys are pretty knackered - couple are badly chipped / kerbed (by the previous owner of course), they are an old set of team dynamics that came on the car.

Short term i'd like to get them looking a bit better without spending much on them!

Is it possible to paint them yourself? Rattle can alloy paint or similar?

Anyone done it with reasonbly good results?

They are currently just gruby silver, i'd like them to go black - this may also help hide some of the chips!
