Wiper Size

I need new wipers for my ford focus. I think the sizes are 19 and 22. However all I can get is 18 and 21 will this be ok?

Also my windscreen is scratched im guessing this is caused by wiper blades. Is this correct?

'all you can get' have you not heard of halfords?

Halfords will rip you off, but they even have a guide to tell you which ones you need for your car!

Do you mean arcs of scratching which follow the sweep of the wipers? If so it's highly unusual unless the wiper arms have been sweeping without blades fitted or there's been a huge amount of grit somehow caught in the blade.

More general scratching is sometimes caused by cleaning of the windscreen by someone wearing a diamon ring...

As for wiper size, it's generally only a problem if you fit oversized blades which extend beyond the edges of the glass.

You can't get wipers for the UK's most popular car?!?

Tesco sell blades for £1.50 each. They work fine, I'm using them after my elcheapo EBay flatbades decided to disintegrate after a month.

Some arcs. Some heavy scratches just before the right wiper blade is at its most horizontal. Their is a patch just there about 2" by 1" completely scratched.

When they're so cheap it doesn't matter if you need a new one every couple of months.
