sorry if its a repost but i just saw on top gear website the 6th. sorry ill say that in another way "THE SIXTH!!" 458 has been crashed!!
now im sorry but im not slating the car (this is just my humble opinion)
is it just me or is all the hype abit over the top on this car? sounds to me the "super track car" cant be handled on a normal road. under developed? doubt it. the amount of work gone into it is unbelievable. so why is it so rubbish on the road? as it seems of course.....
rather ave the 430. better looking thats for sure. and sounds better. the 458s rear does nothing for me... 3 tail pipes? come on.

Could it be that those fortunate (and wealthy) enough to get their mitts on the keys have displayed a touch too much enthusiasm? Don't forget this beast has what in the past would have been deemed an extreme power to weight ratio. Also, since the 430 was launched the concept of leasing or hiring these cars has blossomed, so a good deal more people are being given the keys than would have been the case in the past. I'm sure it will all calm down again in a few months as the real enthusiasts get their deliveries.

This is the 458 available to rent from next to the Ferrari factory for 100 euros for a 10 minute go with an instructor.
I went a couple of weeks ago and rented a California for a quick blast, the yellow 430 challenge stradale was also available to rent so this actually belongs to Ferrari, I believe it was called 'Pit Stop'. Can see them both here.
If I remember correctly, the insurance excess for the 458 was something ridiculous along the lines of the first 10,000 euros I think.
