Is the cambelt visible when looking at the engine on the left hand side or is that the aux belt I can see. Is the cambelt internal on the 1.6 Zetec-SE engine??
They're covered unless some knob has removed it - you'd see the two cam pulleys if it was uncovered. The aux drive belt will run the pas pump, alternator and air con pump if the car has it
Im sure the 1.6 engine in the focus is mounted the other way round (i.e. intake at the front, exhaust at the rear) so looking at it from the front of the car i think the cambelt would be on your right, under a cover.
