Have you tried Towequipe online, or call a few US importers/car dealers over here, I did find a supplier I'm sure, but I will have to check into it..

I don't know the in's and out's. But I've been told that type of hitch isn't (or wasn't) 100% legal in the UK. Hence why you don't seem them.

Yes, your correct,
We are technically not allowed to fit 4000 , lbs type 3 tow hitches because Nanny state says they not safe.

TBH, I see them as safer than a 'cast iron' ball hitch.

I have heard of more than 1 ball hitch snapping.
