Goodbye RS6, Hello E63

Looks like we'll be changing Mrs Clapham's RS6 Avant for an E63 AMG Estate later this week. Looking forward to getting back to an M-B to be honest and its a lovely car.

First chance to get properly behind the wheel is going to be a family trip down to Bordeaux at the beginning of September, so should get a good feel of how the car performs then.

Because the RS6 was a piece of absolute rubbish; dire build quality and reliability, unpleasant to drive, not particularly roomy as a family car and, as one of the last of the original models, increasingly chav image.

Even the service manager of our local Audi dealership suggested we get rid of it as "I've never seen one of these that hasn't been a nightmare"

i had a e63 amg saloon for a long weekend and the car was great sounds amazing utterly addictive the quality of the materials is good.enjoy
