Cars under 4k worth owning

Thought I'd compile a short list on a couple cars I'd love to own or drive at some point that cost under a modest £4000. List includes thus far

Alfa Romeo GTV V6
BMW e30 325i Sport
Classic Mini

Is there anything you would like to add?

Hmm, better received than I expected. On the positive side:
- about the comfiest way to cruise an m'way that I know
- masses of toys (the cup holders could be heated or chilled)

- happy kids wathing the huge tv/DVD or playing games
- everybody who saw it got a laugh

on the -ve side:
- I had to park in (and pay) coach bays on holiday due to its size
- fills-up were £150 a pop
- single figures mpg were the norm, 14 the peak on a steady 65 m'way run
- too tall for any multi-story

on balence an amusing year that cost £50 in depreciation, a couple of hunderd on insurance, pennies in servicing and thousands on petrol.

Top bombing. Looks appealing as a campervan type thing I must say. Is it some kind of V8 leviathan under the hood then? I'd imagine a diesel would be a more sensible proposition. Is that what yanks call a dayvan?
