What was its original colour when it left the factory? I'd probably go for that.

Car like that, I'd go for a really deep flat burgundy, like you see on the older Ferraris from time to time.

If you will be selling on then i'm guessing factory original condition would fetch the most money.

If you're not worried about it, then I'd go for a really deep glossy black, or a gun metal grey- like the classic Astons.

I'd probably be more tempted to go for a very high quality deep gloss black or grey or a silver on such a car.

That or if you can get the factory colour mixed 100% then that would be probably more a purist route.

are Zagato bodies aluminium or steel?

If aluminium, bare polished metal with a racing stripe and number might look good?

Like the idea of gunmetal grey, but this car really comes alive when the colour complements it's curves. Hence, a brighter colour seems to suit them better.

Now, I'm 'working' with an uncalibrated LCD monitor here, so these may look slightly different but hopefully this is close to a deep blue:

I think it has to be a Ferrari red. I am not stuck on period colours, because the car is for my enjoyment. Can anyone suggest the best reds out there today?

I saw a superb red on a T350 TVR a couple of years ago, but it must have been a special order.
