TG Challenges we'd like to see...

I was watching TG on Dave last night and saw them do the buy a 2 door coupe for less than 1500 quid challenge, which made me think that most of their more recent challenges lack the fun of the earlier ones.
It made me wonder what else they could do, as a new poster I'm sure someone has probably done this before but what the hell it's Tuesday and I've got a quiet hour!
I'd like to see them buy some old Rally Specials and put them through their paces... 205 GTi, Cossie, Integrale that sort of thing. Anyone else had any thoughts about what they'd like to see them do?

Even the camper van/motorhome one could have been good if kept to being more sensible.
Challenges I'd like to see. How about ones we all face, such as how fast can a daily driver be £5k, £10k, £15k. For real people, people who can't afford to crash it into your mates car, people who need to buy a good usable example not a wrecker so it can be used as the butt of a joke.
Maybe something simple, a top speed challenge, bit like a VMAX but on a budget.
Same idea, lap time track car. Such as for people who might want to have a shed for track use, as a lot of people do.
4x4 challenge for some grass roots motorsport use.
Autosolo/test challange.
Luxury barge challenge.
New car vs old one. As in should I buy a new Fiesta for £11k or maybe a Supra Turbo.

I though the whole point of TG was now entertainment no one seriously watches it to find out about cars do they?
Even if they did a serious car test would anyone actually take advice on buying a car from any of them?!!

Something at a public / semi public event.
A VMax challenge at the next PH's VMax event with a Top Gear budget say £5k. There are a couple of VMax builds on PH's it would be very interesting to see what Top gear could do in comparison.
Or similar budget and the three of them roll up at Santa Pod on a run what U brung session, that could be very funny the Top gear presenters being put up against the public.

Modified cars vs performance cars, not a stupid test involving a 306 with daft suspension and a million tonnes of stereo against a lightweight sports car.
Something more serious, such as a tuned EP3 Type R against the new Renaultsport Megane. Or a Tuned Evo 6 against a new FQ400. etc etc etc.

There is a difference.
How about: they have to buy a car for, say, £1k, and then drive from the studio to Monaco (with points deducted for breakdowns etc). Once there - and this is the crux - their choices are judged for style by some passing-by (glamorous) ladies outside the casino. Could imagine an XJS, a Porsche 928, maybe an E30 Baur convertible, all vying for attention.
I think the challenges were absolutely brilliant to begin with; but over time, they've really gone off the boil and are blatantly, horribly scripted (I guess they were at the beginning too, but back then it was almost believable!). I kind of wish they would attempt the challenges a bit more seriously; rather than Hammond being competitive; May being eccentric and Clarkson being utterly ludicrous and farcical. Yes, the cars should match the presenters' personalities, but they shouldn't become cartoonish.
So challenges I would like to see- definitely think something along the lines of luxury barge bangernomics would be good.
