Removing caliper paint??

i am not sure i like the red calipers on the vx220 which i painted last week, anyone any ideas on ho the hell i will get it off?? will it be a caliper off and shot blast job? or is there some product that will do it? or maybe just a wire brush???

Go over the red with a colour that you do like.

thats one idea however i think the better job would be to strip it off and start again.

Nitromors, you can get it at any diy type place.

But watch it, it will take any paint it touches off.

go for an italian tune up- calipers will get coated in brake dust thus hiding the red. job done.

that sounds good but i am a clumsy barsteward and will invariably end up with it everywhere!

I agree that the best possible option would be to strip the calipers down, get them shot blasted and then re-painted, but they are calipers, living behind wheels down at the "bottom" of your car ready to be covered in road muck and brake dust.

I really doubt their appearance will suffer if you just give them a blast of brake cleaner then go over them in another colour.

If its possible get them sandblasted and powdercoated.

If not, nitromors then re-paint.

but watch the nitromors! nasty stuff.
