What cars have you got hidden away?

I thought I'd tell you about the car I've got hidden away. It's a Mk2 Volkswagen Golf Ryder with a mighty 1.3 (1272cc!) engine.
My Grandad bought it brand new in 1991. He's now passed away so it's a nice way to remember him, I've got his driving licence and AA card in the glovebox.
It's only done 60,000 miles, the interior is really tidy. The exterior has a couple of patches of rust that will need sorting one day. It's just passed it's MOT and had a new timing belt and service.
I've got an Alfa Romeo 156 Sportwagen that I use for work and a 71 MGB GT for playing with at the weekends, so the Golf rarely gets taken out.
I know my Golf is not rare or particularly special to anyone else, but I doubt I'll ever part with it.
People keep and restore the GTi & G60 models but I doubt there will be many unmolested base model Mk2 Golfs around in 25 years. I'm quite looking forward to taking it to classic car shows then!

A friend of mine has an Audi 80 CL - its an old Y Plate and is meticulous condition covering just 40k from new - 1 owner car. It was his nans who lived opposite me who passed away and left it to him.
Runs a treat starts on the button i know he had an offer of £4k from a passer by but im sure its worth more than that.

I called a well known Audi specialist about getting some much needed work and improvements done, like engine work needed (oil seals I believe), and suspension work done, but after 5 calls and 2 emails with no response, I gave up. Car is still hidden away, probably until next year now!
It's a rare car, one I want to get back to good solid usable condition, then keep it like that. All in good time...
