TVR Cerbera or Maserati 3200GT

I can't seem to make a poll so I just made a topic instead.
I was having this debate with myself and can not come to this conclusion. Both cars are about the same sort of money. If you wanted a car to tour Europe, or to just enjoy would you choose the TVR Cerbera or Maserati 3200GT? This is if the two cars were side by side, and you could choose to take one away for a few weeks there and then...

I want to own both. I really want another V8. The Cerbera maybe just isn't quite the everyday car, but it's marginal, I reckon.

I've been dreaming about replacing the Eurobox and my last TVR with a "Fiat" to do everything. One dream is to drive a Maser round Italy as well as down to the shops here in Blighty. Apart from £££s I cannot find any reason why NOT to.

I think on the one hand the 4.5 Cerbie just to blat it and hear the engine howl.
On the other hand the Maser is likely to be more comfy for a long cruise (though I've done a good 300 miles in my Chimaera in a day but I don't know if the Cerb is a similar machine that respect).

A difficult question, as both are very different.
I've had three TVRs, and very nearly bought a Cerbera to replace my last Chim, but went for a 3200 GT instead. They're fantastic cars....buy carefully and they really aren't the risky purchase that some would have you believe (although admitedly it drinks fuel if driven enthusiastically, and parts/maintenance aren't cheap!). My current 3200 is one of the very last - 2002'02 and has been completely reliable. It's very quiet on long journeys, yet an absolute hooligan if you want it to be.... they are very quick, and the kick from the turbos is unbelievable. I had a 4.5 Chimaera before and there would really be no comparison - the 3200 is streets ahead in terms of performance. I also like the fact that the 3200 is so understated and rare - gets a very good response from everyone.
That said, the 3200 isn't a raw sports car in the sense that the Cerb is. The 3200 has plenty of driver aids (switchable traction control with a sport setting to let you have a bit of fun, adaptive suspension etc etc) and on a wet road feels far more settled, surefooted and predictable than my Chimaera did. The Cerb is louder and brasher, but an automotive legend - crazy and individual.
For occasional use I think the Cerb would be more fun, but as a usable all-round sports car, the Maserati has it. So, to answer the question of one "for a few weeks" it would probably be the Cerb, but as an ownership prospect would be Maserati.
