I had the misfortune to meet a real dick head in a Passat estate at lunch time.

He had been behind me for a few miles at a sensible distance and then we got to a dual carriageway.

I went around the roundabout and was in the outer lane but the lorry in the inner lane suddenly wandered over the line so I had to slow (or hit him).

I thought I heard a horn but was not sure.

I just carried on, sped up and got back in the inner lane; a way ahead was another lorry signalling and braking to pull into a side road so I signalled and checked. The Passat was way behind so I sped up & pulled out and the guy in the passat had obviously floored it as soon as he saw I needed to come out as he came roaring up behind me at more than twice my speed (I was doing a fraction over 50 in a 50), he must have hit 80-90.

He pushed me along as we pass the lorry turning off and with his hand on his horn for a considerable time.

I pulled back in asap to let him go but he then sits alongside me and he weaves at me as if to side swipe me - I got pissed off and flicked him the middle finger and he goes to side swipe me again. At this point I notice he has his wife and kid in the back of the car.

There is a really slow car ahead of me in the inner lane so I slow, he slows forcing me to stay behind the slow car. I then braked to drop right back and then pull out some way behind to go around the slow car, so he brakes hard to hang back behind the slow car.

I just pulled back in behind the slow car, he drops back behind me but still in the outer lane; we go around the next roundabout and the slow car has speeded up and I just follow behind it.

Angry Passat driver then gets a burst of testosterone and floors it up past me to an estimated 90 in a 50 and then up ahead I see him slow at the next roundabout to see where I go.

What a knob jockey - arsing around like that with wife and kids in the car!

6.5/10

Marked down for no swearing and no throwing of soft drinks at his windscreen but a bonus point for giving him the finger.

Probably the best story I've read on here in the last 30 seconds.

Oh, I forgot - I was bad and also gave him the coffee beans when he tried to swipe me.

I guess all I was doing was angering him more in "his world"

I was threatened by a chav on a scrambler bike today, revved the engine, kept level with the car and 'looked' at me. So I had clearly done something terrible. Very nasty, I could even see the hate filled unpleasant little piggy eyes. Would have had more effect on a proper bike I expect, the effect of being menaced on a little put-put was akin to having a child rev a strimmer at me.

Were you in the 911? I would've just put my foot down and got outta there, especially if he was trying to side swipe you.

2 litre TDI no doubt. What a cocktard!

The level of craziness in rep drivers of Vag TdI's is stupid. They don't want to drive fast, they just want to beat all other drivers, so the flooring it when you want to overtake is all par for the course.

I blew a kiss at someone who cut into my lane on a roundabout. Drove the bloke absolutely batst-in-a-blender crazy - He climbed out of his seat, into the back of his Passat screaming at the back screen so much it was fogging up the glass a little - I could hear him even with my stereo on. I guess his child locks were on in the back as he tried to open the back door but couldn't. Lights turned green, I made my escape - - saw him scrambling madly back into the front as his car was rolling forward through the lights very slowly and probably had his knee on the handbrake. It made me smile but his face of rage was beyond anything I have seen before. Think Come to Daddy by Aphex twin video, and I feel like the Granny, although not quiet as bothered as she may of been.

Must bare my arse next time to see what happens. If I fart too that should leave a little mark on the window.

What. The. fk.

Do other countries suffer from "road rage" as much as we do here?

Ohhh yes. Britain seems to be one of the calmest countries I've ever been to in that respect.

I have a paintball gun loaded with a stick bomb for that kind of occaision. Just open the window, wait for the offender to follow suit so they can shout abuse and shot the stink bomb into the car. Haven't had chance to test it as yet but it's sound in theory.

(Section 20 firearms act don't be silly I'm only joking)

But these do fit snuggly in a paintball guns barrel. wink
