Fitting driving lamps - any rules?

Anyone know what the rules are please?

I think that any height or position is fine as long as they are symmetrical?

Is that correct, does anyone know for certain?

Noooooo, you mean foglamps!

I'm fitting driving lamps where foglamps should be you see, mainly because foglamps are the most useless piece of equipment on a car

Driving lamps will be wired into the main beam (and have a secondary switch) so will come on with full beam only.
