Classic car isnurance

Hello,

I am a 19 year old and have just bought a classic mini (1993). I am looking for companies where I can get classic car insurance. Problem is most don't cover drivers under 21 never mind 25. Does anybody know of any companies? Also I have heard some companies allow named drivers under 21 but the proposer must be over 21. This would be possible for me. Additionally the car would be a second car, I already own another car and have an insurance policy in my own name. Also the car would only be driven 2-3000 miles a year. Another problem is the company must provide cover for Northern Ireland. So what are my options. Do you think I can get a quote for maximum £600?

Try joining an official owners club, usually the best way to get a good price on Ins.

Footman James as long as you're part of a recognised club. Peter D James also have a good record, although I've never tried to get a quote with them.

Don't know if either will cover Northern Ireland.

Footman James don't quote Northern Ireland. Peter James you must be 30

Have you tried ringing them up? The Footman James website says you have to be 25+, which isn't true. Someone who was around 18 got a quote from Peter James, so give it a go regardless of what the site says.
