whats the best way to remove sticker residue from a previous owners graphic's on a sechond hand vehicle??

WD40 is your friend

White spirit, distilled water then wax. Take the crap off, clean spirit off the area and then wax over for a protective finish.

can of "sticky stuff remover" (honest)... available in hardware stores,got a can 2 years ago and it lasts forever and does the job.

Best bet is Autoglym Tar Remover - works a treat.

Fixed it for you. No need to thank.

Nail varnish remover is mostly acetone which will prolly take the paint off along with the sticker residue.

Fine on a Caterham or similar which has unpainted aluminium bodywork, not so great if there is paint anywhere near.

I misread the OP and assumed (don't know why) it was from glass not paintwork. My mistake!

AG Tar Remover. Don't buy the cheaper car plan stuff, it's useless. General car polish/tcut is a good bet too.

If it's on glass, AG Glass Polish is fantastic.

thanks for all the tips, wd40 worked its magic a treat.

however the original stickers had been on the vehicle for 5 years and the paint where they were is considerably more darker than the rest of the bodywork. in fact it kind of looks like the stickers are still on!!

whats best??
