Seems like it's generally considered you must own one of these cars to warrant any from of opinion to be taken seriously.

I would not consider anyone a pleb just because they have never owned one of these. It's just that you have hit upon a sample of particularly 'PH' cars.

Should you happen to have experiance of something built in Hethel or Caterham, or indeed any car which majors on performance and driver involvement, you might also be able to have a finer appreciation of basic physics and potentially have weight added to your opinion.

Driven a Caterham, and I wet yself with excitement it was fantastic. Driven and owned my fair share of exotic material.

And Rude-Boy, please can you enlighten me as to my opinion? What is my opinion because from what I can see I merely asked a question, backed up by the fact that the VX, TVR and Mx5 are held in such high regard.
