What kind of drivers annoy you the most?
Discussion
I vote for the bimbler in the beige Toyota Corolla/Rav4/Avensis/whatever.
Behind one tonight, doing 35mph in a 60mph a-road. Even an artic pulled out to overtake. Before he/she pulled off onto a b-road (the route I was also going) I saw 3 near-ish misses where people were getting frustrated and trying to overtake.
So, I get behind them on a twisty but generally well-sighted b-road and have 2 overtakes blocked by octogenarian toyota-driver wandering from left side of the road to centre, completely unaware of my presence behind them (car with a huge roofbox and dipped headlights on).
We get to a lovely wide bit of road, there's a car coming in the opposite direction, I start indicating on the offchance that this balloon in front might notice me. Road ahead now clear, I start to pull out and the toyota brakes (from about 35mph) and turns right into a driveway. No indicator.
I bet the driver had no idea why they got a horn blast. And I bet they complain to their friends in the post office tomorrow about the inconsiderate driver that honked them.

What annoys me is the younger, chavs, but the ones with crap modified corsas etc, who think they know everything and think they're experienced.
I'm 17, and I don't know everything, just passed my test a month ago and I've got a long way to go before I'm experienced.
It just annoys me about the way some young chavs drive like they own the road.

I'm with Lefty. I think that those who can drive well but choose not to (the 'boy racers') are less of an annoyance to me than those who are incapable of driving well.My reason is that if things turn to s
t then at least the person who was driving badly by choice can calm down and be sensible if they choose, whereas those who are incapable of driving well will ALWAYS be a hazard.I'm quite a relaxed driver, and don't tend to get annoyed. Slow drivers certainly don't annoy me; I like the idea of freedom of choice to drive at whatever speed one wants.
What really does get to me though is selfish drivers: drivers who don't take the time to understand what others around them want to do, such as not indicating properly or not making space on the motorway. A close second to that is tailgaters. The other thing that gets me is people who drive along in a world of their own, ignoring people on zebra crossing, cats crossing the road, people trying to pull out of difficult junctions etc; in a way that's another form of selfishness.

kers, guilty of some or all of the following:
Lane hogging,
passing on the left,
tailgating,
queue jumping / queue barging,
holding you up then drag racing you when they eventually move left, only resuming their previous speed when they've either cut you up and are infront of you again, or you've demonstrated a sufficient bhp advantage.
similarly, the people who pass you on general principle just because you've moved into one of the left lanes...and who then slow down when they come alongside and box you in as you approach a slower car/lorry/bus in your lane,
indicating while changing lanes with no prior warning..it's like they just flick the stalk in mid-manoeuvre as their hand passes it on the way past while they turn the steering wheel,
overtaking then forcing across your bonnet to squeeze in between you and the car in front of you...particularly enraging when there's 900yards of nothing behind you,
...and perhaps controversially, the people with desk jobs who make the world hell at rush hour and all weekend long. When you buggers are in your offices those of us who drive around all day seem to get around much more quickly and with far less bloody-mindedness.

most of the above, esp ppl that do not move back in after overtaking, ppl that overtake at 1mph more than the car there trying to pass, and the old biffers in the micra/wag in the x5 that dosent know the size of there own car!!! room for a bus and its ooh, eee, left a bit,am i?......f

I find them quite easy to spot. It's the ones who are outside of my car. All of them. Every driver seems to have the capacity to annoy me, from the blindies who activate stealth mode on my car (I've searched, but I can't find the option to turn stealth mode off) to tail-gate charlie, middle lane Manda, out-of-my-way-can't-you-see-I-am-in-an-Audi Cyril, elephant racing prostitute murdering lorry driver Dan and texting Terry.
But it's mostly Middle Lane Morons.

Move over then? You were asking for it.That said, people who throw themselves into any gap (no matter how small, or hard they force others to brake) and weave in between lanes to this end are an entirely different kettle of fish.
The drivers that annoy me the most are the ones that sit six feet behind the car in front when a bimbler is holding everyone up in a decent stretch of NSL. 2-3 car overtakes I can usually manage...5-6 I struggle with. They annoy me much more than Doris in her Micra causing the queue in the first place.

- People who think the national speed limit is 40 and get irate when you try to overtake
- Very old people who should've stopped driving years ago; they just don't seem aware of anything.
- The 40 year old blonde whose husband has bought them either an X5 or a A4/CLK/3 series convertible. Self righteous a

Passing on the left apart from being legal is absolutely fine in my book when that's simply how the traffic is flowing due to the right hand lane being full of obnoxious idiots tailgating, braking and ultimately slowing the whole damned motorway down.
The people I'm talking about are the ones who get impatient with the car in front of them and suddenly nail it and veer around them...it's rarely done in what you'd call a safe manner and I often see people have to abandon their own legitimate lane changes to avoid being collected by said prat.
I was also referring to people who do it on large multi-lane roundabouts, particularly those with traffic lights, in a bid to dive up the outside and beat the queues. At junction 4 of the M40 for example, it's a selfish practice which often forces other people into the wrong lanes and ultimately just holds up everyone behind.

I'm with you on this, passed my test 2 months ago(17) and these idiots give young drivers a bad name.I'm 17, and I don't know everything, just passed my test a month ago and I've got a long way to go before I'm experienced.

Two more are people that don't indicate - it's just lazy, and usually oldish women in Suzuki Wagon R+ who drive at 35mph everywhere, NSL...35mph, 30mph zone...35mph.
