Thought it might be interesting to hear everyones handy hints, tips & nuggets of motoring wisdom - like Always Wear Sunscreen but for driving
Here's a few to start:

• If you get cut up, rise above it. It's not worth the aggro.

• Keep left unless overtaking.

• Manners cost nothing. If someone lets you in, thank them - similarly, if you are in a position to help a fellow driver safely, do so.

Check your oil weekly, especially if you own an Alfa Romeo with a twinspark engine.

Assume all Nissan Micra drivers will be annoying and ste at driving...

I you approach a junction wanting to turn right and the car in front is a Nissan Micra also wanting to turn right get out a sleeping bag and have 3 hours kip.

This is helpful! Watch for bikers, learn to have great lane discipline and practise indicating correctly and try and use it all the time. This is helpful to all.

Never presume because someone is indicating they intend to turn....they will actually do so.

In a soft top, always carry sunscreen in the glove compartment. When the hood's down and you're stuck in a traffic jam, WEAR SUNSCREEN.
