Strange things being transported on cars

Passed a car with a lobster creel strapped to its roof on the A68 today, which got me wondering - what odd things have others seen?

I keep seeing someone in a new VW Beetle transporting a huge can of Red Bull!

I once went with a chum to Brum and collected a Westfield chassis with hubs/suspension on. We put it on the roof bars of a Peugeot Partner van. We did get some odd looks.The guy who we bought it from thought we were joking when we said we were taking it away there and then!

Yesterday I saw a recovery truck, low loader, with a Greenflag recovery van on the back! Tried to take a picture as I over took it by my iphone was not being co-operative.

My passenger had to hold onto it, it must have looked so stupid.

My parents once sold a large kitchen table and chairs. Bloke turned up in a Mini (Austin) and strapped it to the roof

Not that long ago me and my dad took a bush to the tip one the roof of his Volvo, got a few odd looks on the way, that's for sure. Sorry, no pics.

I was in the front of a TrafPol car travelling the wrong way down a duel cariageway (30limit though) through Crawley with 2 locos on trucks like those. The most fun i've had at 3mph
