my first driving experience

i am 14 and have learnt to drive

basically my mate has loads of land, and so his dad bought him an astra, really cheap and i got to drive it.
they had it for about 3 months and already it has been crashed 2, and it lost a wheel both bumpers the exaust mirrors and ALL the lights but the radio still works. :P

You should leave the driving for a few years and pay more attention in scho.....only kidding. Well done, had a similar experience myself aged about 14 but it was on a beach. Pity you've a few years to wait yet!

Lucky boy, nothing more entertaining than a 'field' car, just don't be tempted to take it on the road.

Field cars are great. Get another, mark out a track and have a race.

Glad to hear you're learning to drive at such a young age. Why don't you get your parents to sign you up to the Under 17 Car Club?

It'll get you driving on proper road layouts, with roundabouts, junctions etc...

You won't even have learnt to drive once you pass your driving test.
What you have done is used your feet to control the speed of a car and your hands to alter its course of direction.
You may even have changed gears a few times.

Will people please realize that learning is never complete, especially when it comes to driving.

Your right of course, we never finish learning but he has 'learnt to drive' as far as getting to grips with the basic controls so he had made a start, cut the kid some slack.

Learning the basics offroad is a great start, I was playing around the fields when I was 12/13 and had a yard car when I was 16, made it much easier when I started on the road because I had already got the basics down

Yes he has in the same way someone could say thay can ride a bike. They have mastered the basics but require further training.

Nice one, this is the best way to learn the foundations of how a car works in a safe environment.

I have been drivng since I was about 12 and it really helps for when you come to learn properly on the road. I also helped teach my sister around the fields as well which has helped her a lot now she is 17.

Me and my other friends who drove often and from a young age all needed far less lessons than those who started off on the road with instructors.

calm down, of course he knows he isn't driving test good.
