Has anyone NOT sold a car?

Simple question, and I don't me "No I've still got my first as my daily" I mean has anyone hoarded all their cars in thier life and not sold a single one? I ask because I have my C2 that I've had from new and a mk1 MR2 but I'm also looking at getting an e46 320d as a new daily but I can't bring myself to sell either of the others.

Please share anything like this that you have done. I hoping during my life I never have to sell a car but I have no idea where I could keep them, I currently rent a garage off the council and as soon as the old renter of a 8 car lockup gets his stuff out I'll have that too but that's mostly for working on the MR2.

Any comments would be nice

I've never sold a car but have scrapped one and part-ex'd three. Never had to go through the hassle of selling one privately thankfully.

As for "keepers", only the Caterham qualifies.

It's seems like such an eccentric thing to do, especially with cars that won't be worth anything as the years pass.

My late grandad did, but only 4 cars and there are still in our family.

I've had the Jag 2 years now, it was my very first car. Can't ever see myself selling it, it's not worth much money and I love it too much

Had my first civic, and first car 3 and a half years now. Despite buying a new car and attempting to sell my first one, i'm finding it a struggle to actually part with it; for both sentimental reasons and the smile it gives me whenever i drive it.

My first car (Clio) stayed in the family, I wrote of the S3 (wouldn't have sold it) and think the M3 is a keeper unless things change dramatically.

However crashing the S3 did make me realise that although I didn't enjoying seeing it go, you do move on so I think I now have a slightly different perspective on cars.

Still have my first daily driver and it is in the garage being resto'd. Then had another car 10 years as my everyday car - Puma on 103K.

Ex-wife took the other car we (I) had so nope - I've yet to sell one!

I have scrapped every car I have bought. They get driven until they break or are unecomical to fix then I buy a new banger. My current car is the only one I have ever spent money on keeping it going.

First car was part exed for second car, second car was killed to death, third car was bought with insurance money.

I would have kept them all if I was embarrassingly rich. Bit like keeping photos of times gone by but better.

However given my limited means, and lack of suitable storage facility. No. They get sold/traded in as required.

I havnt sold one and I'm on my second car, first ZR got HGF the weekend we got it, so got a refund for it. No idea what goes on when selling!

A mate of mine has never sold any of his cars, he has 3.

One crashed and subsequently written off, but the other 3 cars I've ever owned are still with me. Will need to sell one soon though.

My uncle still has the Jowett Jupiter he bought off my dad in the sixties !

1st car - Peugeot 306, swapped for a set of alloy wheels
2nd car - Peugeot 306, scrapped,
3rd car - Mk3 astra, tried to drive it too far without a radiator, scrapped it
4th car - Mk3 mondeo clutch went, spent all my money on that, then the diff went a few weeks later (both expensive jobs on a mondeo as the subframe has to be dropped) *sold* it for £400 - so i dont think that counts and i only did it because i was going travelling.
5th car - mk7 Escort, was given it, so gave it away
6th car - BMW E34 525, diff blew and i couldnt undo the bolts, i was going travelling so it had to go, scrap man gave me £260.
7th car - Bmw E36 325, i'm travelling again so i've given it to my brother, something i aint decided to meaning on yet.

sold my first car to my sister when I went to uni, but that's been the only one and only did that as she nerfed it when she borrowed it.

bought a new clio on graduation, which ended up being killed by a double decker.

since then, I've bought bangers and run them into the ground. 4 have been to the scrappers in this way and another will be there shortly.

bought something nicer this time round so i'll prob sell it on after a while.
