What's it worth - Saab Aero Hot

Now I know its what people would be willing to pay, but just trying to get an idea to sell it without much hassle.

Its a 01 manual Saab 9-3 Aero Hot Coupe. Its has a upgraded ECU (about 240bhp) and adjustable Koni's plus springs fitted at Abbotts Motorsport (saab specialist), which cost about 1K just over a year ago. Car has 80K miles. The interior and exterior are pretty good for the age. No rips etc and leather looks good. Exterior has a couple of scrapes under the splitter, but other than that fine. All the pixels etc work on the computer (replaced this about a year ago for a brand new one). Has had a new aircon compressor about 1.5 years ago and that all works fine. Full service history, and only negative is it could probably do with 2 new front tyres (current Eagle F1's all round).

Wondered what you guys would be prepared to pay for it. I have no need to sell it other than we really don't need 2 cars as I will be getting a bike soon, and already have a 3 series that serves as the family car.

The upgrades add little value (possibly reduce your market), given these:

That's the 9-5 unfortunately. Looking at 9-3's though, similar one is on for 3K, but not as good condition and more miles. I would probably be happy with 3K, just wondered if it may be worth a little more.

Obviously that doesn't mean it'll sell for that, but it's a good guide.

Yours has 10k less, but has the mods which most people will see as a downside i'm afraid. I for one would prefer to mod a car myself if at all. Though yours sounds nicely done.

I reckon it'd sell for £3k.

Oops. Good point.

Get it polished up, pictures, lots of detail and history info and start at 3,999 and see how it goes.

But seriously not trying to do that, it's when you look at guides and you know its worth more than they say. Just trying to work out how much more. Its not that common a car and the standard of upkeep on them vary massively. I buy it whatever it needs, a lot of the ones you see are a bit run down.
