Help with Kwik Fit

Hi Guys,
Need some advice, got some supplied and fitted at Kwik Fit, got home and noticed they have scuffed the outer Rim of the wheels, which were prior to this totally curb free. There is now 2 x 2" grazes on the rim which look like where the machine has clamped on to the wheel.
I rang them as soon as I got home, and they have asked me to bring it in tomorrow.
Car is a 2007 330D.
Is there anything they will actually do? what can they do!

Phone call, formal letter and then small claims court. Don't waste too much time being polite.

ked up the suspension alignment replacing the dampers. Some very dodgy handling and trashed a set of tyres. Fixed by my friendly indy.
Cut an exhaust off without checking they had a replacement, leaving me 35 miles from home with no transport. "We close at six mate*. Bye".
Was given credit vouchers each time they buggered it up - tying me in to getting more work done there.
Eventually ripped them up and paid the guy who regularly services my car to fix it.
* You really are not my mate, you would not make it into my social circle. A term of endearment is not appropriate when you have disabled my car and are abandoning me far from home.

WTF is wrong with kwik fit? They are useless!!! Ive took two cars there in the past both requireing urgent tyre work.Both of my cars had standard 19" wheels...the first time is was told " we cant guarantee not damaging your aloys sir" WTF!!! the second time they refused point blank as again they said they would damage the rim removing replacing the tyre!!! WTF....They are supposed to be the biggest tyre place in britain and they cant do big wheels....
Both times went to the local independant guy on the industrial estate and guess what? No issues at all...and a damn sight cheaper.

Funnily enough i take the works van to them for work and they try there best to rape the fleet company!!!!

I just cant be ar5ed with dealing with them.

I'm only hearing bad news...even on Radio Africa.
Thing is it comes down to the staff. Some places are run by good managers with good staff.....and some are not. Having the corporate sign over the door is no indication of the quality of the work on offer.

oh, never had a problem with kwik-bodge, but then running an old clio its irrelevant really. they are the halfords of the servicing world... there will be as many good reports as there are bad... blackcircles for tyres everytime though...
Back to the OP and the damage to wheels. It will be down to how you and the manager are on the day. You have no proof that they damaged your wheels, they have no proof they did not. If you had date-stamped photos of the wheels when you took the car in and spotted the damage before you took the car away you would be in a lot stronger position. It is now down to the manager to decide if he wants to work on his customer relationship position.

Exactly this. As you didn't notice it at the time, it's all down to what the manager is like.Only time I would ever use kwik fit is to get the aircon regassed on the car - because if the aircon in my car is knackered, I don't pay for it to be regassed. Being it is an old car, it is an acceptable use as the machine they use is pretty much fully automated, so therefore they can't f**k it up.
Out of all my friends and family that have used them in the past, I have never heard a good thing said about them.
