The French seem to over-do the corporate nose IMO. I don't like it, but it's nowhere near as offensive as the Pug RCZ. But I sure Richard-G will be along shortly to advise me that I can't comment about styling, being an A5 owner.

You cant comment on style being a A5 owner

And a tin roof and 4 seats does not have to mean minging, I know im a fanboi and all but the Astra Twintop is much better proportioned:

They all have the same problem - might be because they are all based (loosely) on a hatch - the front is not long enought to conteract the length at the back, and the rears all seem to be the same blunt design.

I have a four seat convertable and in my eyes it is much more balanced - maybe because it started life a a saloon / coupe?

It's not that bad as four seat folding tin tops go, but that's hardly a complement. The old one was marginally nicer.

It looks actually better than their previous efforts and those of other manufacturers. I have to say that given the propensity of manufacturers to provide increasingly small slivers of glass to see out of, convertibles may be the way forward so I can feckin' SEE!!!

I had one as a rental in Italy last month, was alright for a bit of foreign poncing but I'd never dream of having one over here. The TDI engine couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding out of its operating range, so slow uphill hairpins demanded a change to first.
