....But Dhiaa was not one of the guilty culprits because his new Ferrari 458 – which he’d only had for two weeks – was destroyed in an enormous blaze at Heathrow Airport.
The car cost him £300,000 and was decked out with a £50,000 Dolce and Gabbana interior....

And the Agera has a gold key - not a bad 22nd birthday present. Should look more 'tasteful' than the Koenigsegg clamped outside Harrods earlier this summer though

It's a different world isn't it? I wonder if it might be a bit boring though if you can afford anything you want, not that I'd complain!

Would be good to mix it up with some classic exotica such as an old school Lambo or Ferrari but fair play still.

He's not the Sultan, but he's on his way.

zero imagination

think of all the 'dream garage' threads on here, not one of the replies has ever been as dull as "I'll simply buy the 3 or 4 top of the range cars from the accepted 'prestige' brands"

If there was even one oddball car on there that made you think "wow, that's a funny choice" or a cool old classic it would be better

At the risk of being labelled jealous...

It's a st "collection". It looks like someone with a lot of money has just gone around buying whatever was expensive for no other reason than because it's expensive.

no class though.

where is the DB5, DB4 Zagato, classic 275 and so on.

Just all modern metal - still, it's fantastic and i'd love it but a bit boring taste wise if you ask me
Agreed.

Whilst he's obviously very wealthy and very fortunate to have that money to spend, I can't help but wonder why you'd need an X5M and an X6M. It's buying brand new desirable cars for the sake of buying brand new desirable cars.

If he a had a 300SL Gullwing, a 356 Speedster, a Bugatti Type 35 and a Blower Bentley I'd be considerably more envious.

Still, I hope he enjoys them.

If he had earnt the money then I would be in awe, and have huge respect.

But in my eyes he s just another rich Arab who will live a life outside normality.

But tbh If i was born into it, I wouldnt complain

Money can't buy taste or class. A lot of those cars overlap each other in functionality. What a waste.

And nope, no jealously here at all.

All the cars in the world to choose from and he gets that list which has one maybe two that will be worth more than list when 10 years old, he's no PH just a kid with more money than sense.

This reminds me a bit of playing a computer game such as Forza 3, great fun when all you can afford is a Fiesta and you have to scrape together to change the wheels. Less fun when you have unlimited funds and access to all the cars and upgrades.

If I had his money I'd certainly have loads of cars, but I'd think I'd have a bit more of an eclectic mix, his selection sounds like someone has just compiled a list of all new performance cars available. Why have an X5M, and an X6M for example?

Feel comfortable in the knowledge that they're living on borrowed time.

1. New Energy (something like Thorium) will negate the need for petrol/oil.
2. From shirtsleeves to shirtsleeves in three generations.

You can't deny it's an amazing collection of cars, if not a little obvious. However, I wonder how much enjoyment he derives from buying such machinery with his father's cash - the overwhelming emotion of working your arse off, succeeding and then buying your first supercar just cannot be bought.
