1. 6 speed as opposed to 5.
2. Slightly higher output given the capacity.
3. Aesthetically a slightly more balanced ride height between f/r (being picky).

1. V8 engine, with a nice noise but not too much power - 200bhp would be ample.
2. Ability to raise and lower the roof on the move.
3. Make it slightly better looking, more aggression.

I'll probably do these things. I can't justify the outlay of buying a newer daily hack when I'm getting 59mpg at the moment, but I'm simultaneously saving for a fun weekend car.

• Remove the restraining order the rear passenger door has against its lacquer. You can stay near each other, it'll be fine..
• A proper remote locking system, rather than the infrared one that needs sniping at the sensor at 2 yards max

1) Paintwork detailed properly to alleviate nearly a decade of swirl marks.

For the Elise:

A nicer soundtrack - two more cylinders should do the trick
No squeaks/creaks/rattles
To be waterproof

Although, some people say their Elises don't rattle or leak - if I had one of those, 2 and 3 my wish list would be:
