Willson states that a £4k 13 year old 1.9 Z3 or similar SLK and gen 1 TTs are a better buy than a "worn-out Mazda Eunos". Does he know that a decent Eunos can be had for less than half that? Does the drive experience matter or is it all about the badge?

For the average buyer, he's right. For people who need a bit more practicality, the TT is better. For people who want something that'll hold value and provide safe motoring with pose value, the Z3 trumps the MX-5. Horses for courses my boy.

I'm all for the likes of him telling the masses to buy Z3's, SLK's and TT's. None vaguely appeal (Z3m excused) to me, so will keep the values of Eunos/MX-5 down for PHers.
