Nurburgring Trip this October :driving:

Hey, im heading to the Nurburgring this October but cant quite figure out how to go about getting tickets and organising the dates available. Been on the official site but still a little confused tbh; does anyone know where i can find better information on how to get tickets or is it possible to buy on the day? Also heard that if you damage the track (which i dont intend to do) you need to pay for it so was wondering if anyone knew a good (cheap) place to get some track insurance?

No Tickets...you buy a 'Ring Card' and charge it up with as much cash as want.

The 'Ring is most of the time classified as an Autobahn rather than a race track, so for the normal Touristfahrten days rather than trackdays your regular insurance should cover you. You need to check and make sure your policy does not exclude either specifically the Nurburgring or any desrestricted one way toll roads. But if that is not present in your policy you are fine. Don't break down though as the recovery costs are steep, and as you say driving through the Armco barriers is very expensive. Don't try to set a time. (I did 11:25.6 which is not bad considering the car I used )

On the Touristfahrten days you just turn up and buy a ticket there.

Thanks for the info guys.
I am still needing to find insurance though as my insurance company does indeed specify that the ring is not covered. Does anyone know of, or has used and company for this? I know they exist but my searches throw up all kinds of waffle.
