My concern about that would be being allowed onto a track. The trackdays I go on require the car to have an MOT or meet MSA regulations. Not sure that that thing would do either, contrary to what the advert says he may just have 'got away with it' so far, whilst technically being outside the rules and therefore at risk of refusal in the future.

Apart from it being fugly, it doesn't "read" well to me, keep searching. For that you could get a decent track MX5

Don't buy. I know shouldn't judge a book by its cover or a car by its bodywork... but could you trust a car built by someone who thought that looked good?

I quite fancied that myself a while back. I decided that £3500 was strong money for a track only car though - there are a wide variety of 2nd single seater available for mot much more.
