Saw a couple of cool Porsches...

I was up and out this morning for the 2 mile stroll to the lock-up where my car is currently residing to set off for a meet in Herts with the North London PHers. As I walked I heard the sound of a loud exhaust and turned my head to see an old 911 of some variety blatting down the road towards me, followed quite swiftly by another of similar 70s vintage. Nice late summer's day, doing maybe 55-60 mph. Slightly unusual sight, but I wasn't surprised as there was a Porsche Show in the village today.
What did surprise me was that they felt it was fine to do that speed through a village with a 30mph limit.
Had the same situation when there was a Supercar meet a month or so ago.

TBH it was one of the reasons i stopped attending meets down south as i felt that some of the driving was unnecessary.
All for breaking the limit and having a bit of fun in non pedestrianised areas if safe but running through towns and villages at 10-30+mph above the posted limit doesnt sit well with me even at 6-7am on a sunday morning.
Realise it makes me sound like a whiny namby pamby nimby but seen too much stupidity on my everyday driving from both drivers and pedestrians.
