Discs and Pads for my Forester

So my discs and pads need changing on my 2007 Forester XTen. Front and rear (managed 95k miles on the discs, but they are now quite lipped)

Subaru have quoted me around 750 for the replacements inc vat etc

Also quoted about 1700 to fit the ProDrive to the front and standards on the rear

Anyone have any other suggestions of what I could fit and where I could get it ? (been on ebay already)

I really could do with getting the price (even the 750) down a bit !!

Thoughts would be appreciated

That seems like crazy money to me

Try and source online and then get them or some other garage to fit.

Gsf or eurocarparts, even eBay.

Surley there's only £200-300 in parts there, then a couple if hours labour max.

Do you know if you can find generic blanks on ebay or amazon? IF you just need normal rotors then I would get the cheap blanks all around and call it quits. sorry for not being very exact in my help.

I don't know if they'll be the same size as other Subaru models but why not give the 2 suppliers on Scoobynet forum a call ?

I was away and left the wife to sort herself out with pads/ discs for her car and
she ended up using these guys. Apparently they were really helpful and matched any
price. Fitted them last week and so far no issues.

I changed the discs and pads on my 2005 XT recently. Easy enough job to do and the best price after shopping around was PartCo blueprint discs and pads. Can't fault them.

find a shop or factor in your area who sells adl blueprint parts mate. I,m on my third subaru and have used nothing but their gear on all of them .Quality is equal or better than oe and they give a 3 year guarantee.

www.autogateway.co.uk sell blueprint parts, the last discs I had from bluprint were identical down to the casting numbers to the Subaru ones. They also do Mintex etc if you want cheaper. Friendly staff too.

Crikey, Nationwide Autocentres did mine for ~£300.

I've just received new Blueprint front pads and discs from Autogateway, £166 including carriage. Mintex or other makes would have been much cheaper but Blueprint are OEM quality.

Of all the places I didnt expect, Kwik-Fit did them for 320 ... In an hour !
