Shell Drivers Club - cashier swipes own card

On Saturday morning I filled up with 84 litres of V-power and not being a Drivers CLub card holder I didn't have a card to give him, however he swiped his own.
This morning I phoned Shell Head Office to report that their staff in the Shell Loudwater site were swiping their own Drivers Club cards when a customer didn't have one and they were slightly interested but I was not convinved they really cared, so I phoned the site's manager to complain as well.
To say he couldn't give a monkeys is an understatement! He mumbled something about an investigation but as he was the manager he didn't work on the tills so he didn't really know (!!), but would have a word... How a man like that gets to be a "manager" is a mystery.
Anyway just to re-iterate please look out for this customer de-frauding especially at Shell Loudwater - I will never use that location again.

why? This guy is probably in minimum wage, and has found a way to get a little money out of a huge and very immoral company. It's not like he's stealing from poorly children is it. I run my own company and if one of my staff was taking advantage of something that is for the customer's benefit I would want to know.
In most cases it contravenes the T&C's of these promotions anyway and so probably a breach of employment contract.
I do not want to spend my hard-earned money with Shell so their cashier can get some free petrol.

I don't see the problem at all, fair play to him. I signed up for a shell card
on one of their last promotions. At the time I was banging in the miles and
after spending a shed load of cash my loyalty card could be cashed in for a , I think, a
garden hose or an ice-scraper. The only way these loyalty cards are worth having would
be if your name is Eddie Stobart or you are a cashier in a Shell petrol station.

"customer defrauding"??! WTF? How is he defrauding YOU? What have you lost? You've already stated that you didn't have a card.
At the very most he's "defrauding" his employer, but tbh I don't see it as any different than me giving my computer vouchers to the next person in the queue (or the cashier) at Tesco.

How do you know it was his?,maybe the staff have been instructed to collect all unwanted points on a special card and at the end of each month the chief executive's of shell buy petrol from themselves thus making it look like they are selling more than their competition and increase their share price making them (even more) stinking rich *maniacal laugh*

I dont see the problem, you havent lost out as you dont have a card. Ok maybe he could of politly asked if he could swipe his card instead of the points going to waste but other than that.
Back before tescos was my regular supermarket and I didnt have a club card, if I bought something in store or used thier petrol station I always gave away my points to who ever was closest with a club card at hand, be customer or staff. No point them going to waste and what go's around comes around.
