Loonking for a new (to me) family wagon. Looks like I can pick one up for about £3k 2000/1 model. Looking at review it seem the tdi version has some reliability problems. Any views on here? I would more liekly go for the 2.3 zetec.

Not a fair judgement possibly, but the only 2.3 petrol Galaxy I've ever been in broke down on us. On our way to Gatwick of all places.

The 2.3 is gutless and thirsty, TDI everytime .

As for reliability ,no better or worse than any other IMO.
